About Our Pastor

The pioneering planter pastor of our church is the child of God simply called, Johnson Ade Odewale.

He was born in Nigeria in the fifties to Pa James and Madam Maria Odewale all of the blessed memories.

Pastor Odewale attended Baptist Teachers College, Ede, Nigeria, where he trained and was certified as a Grade 11 teacher in 1975. He further attended Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, for his Nigeria Certificate in Education. (1981)

The Pastor later proceeded to the University of Benin, Benin –City Nigeria for his Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature (1989). In 1997 he obtained his Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Planning from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife Nigeria. Pastor Odewale, as a lover of learning, would not stop until he pursued and bagged another Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, the USA 2002. He has been yearning for a Ph.D. program but the commitments are just too much. Pastor Odewale has functioned as a teacher, trainer, inspector, examiner (WAEC), supervisor, educator, administrator, counselor, and guidance counselor at various levels of educational, religious, and human services settings, stages, and standards both in Africa and the United States. He had worked at Elementary, Primary, Middle, and High Schools.

He did his one-year compulsory Nigeria National Youth Service at the Women Arabic Teachers College, Kano, Kano State, Nigeria where he got State Awards. He also taught at Divisional Teachers College, Ipetumodu, Osun State Nigeria for 8 years. No wonder, his students nicknamed him ‘Teacher of Teachers’. Pastor Odewale was a teacher at Baptist Grammar School, Odeomu, the Osun State of Nigeria before he moved with his family to the United States in 1998.

Pastor Odewale was born an Anglican but was persuaded by his brother, late Adegboyega to join the CAC. His father however made him promise that he could only join another denomination after his (father’s) death. A promise Pastor Johnson Odewale kept.

He fully joined CAC after the demise of his father. He was appointed a CAC elder in the Christ Apostolic Church in 1989. He served as the first CAC Odeomu District Secretary from 1990 till 1998 when he moved to the US. In the US, he joined the CAC Mt Zion in Mattapan, Massachusetts, under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Babalola. He served as the Secretary of the Church until 2005 when he got the call to start a new church called CAC Calvary Assembly.

We started the church in his living room for a while before we moved to the basement of 444 Columbia Road, Boston, MA. We were there until 2010 when we moved to 5 Creston Street, Boston, Massachusetts. We tried unsuccessfully to buy a church property in 2010.

Johnson Odewale was ordained a Pastor in the Christ Apostolic Church worldwide on October 14, 2007, in the CAC of Providence, Rhode Island, USA. A philanthropist, prayer warrior, and preacher of the word, Pastor Odewale has attended numerous local, national, and international religious seminars, workshops, and conferences including the ones organized by Pastor Morris Cerullo Ministries, Pastor Benny Hinn Ministries, and CAC North America under the supervision of Pastor (Dr) Joshua Owoeye. Our Pastor is currently the Secretary-General of CAC New England Zone of the United States of America under the chairmanship of Pastor Jonathan Ogunjeminiyi.

The journey had been rough but we give God the glory for sustaining us. The Bible says, “Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” – James 1:2-4.

We had the ChurchThanksgiving service on September 12, 2010. It was a success story. We thank all the church members and our well-wishers. (See the video)

Pastor Odewale is ably assisted in all areas of the ministry by his devoted and dedicated wife and child of God, Deaconess Romoke Titi Odewale.
The family is blessed with smart and promising two boys and two girls. To God be the glory.

Pastor Johnson Odewale is a Pastor of Abrahamic anointing with Davidic prowess and endowments.

“My father, you are wonderful.”

mission

It's all about Jesus:

Jesus commanded, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Our mission therefore is to reach people of various ethnic backgrounds within and outside the community, to see them become part of Christ’s Church and God’s family

vision

We dream to be a family of Jesus Christ where we dwell in Love that is shed abroad in our heart.

To proclaim  God’s love, reach more people, work with more Bible teaching and loving churches, share what we have with the less privileged, the poor, the sick, the lonely, the distressed, the disappointed, the traumatized, the suicidal, the hopeless, the oppressed and the less advantaged.

We also intend to plant more churches and give more glory to God.
In Luke 10:2 Jesus told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field

We, therefore, intend to train more workers who would diligently work in His vineyards throughout the world. Amen
